Hi, I'm Julia

I am a costume maker & designer specializing in historical dress with a long history in theater and film. I have a BA in Cinematic Arts and Technology from CSU Monterey Bay and in 2023, I received an MA in Historical Costume from Arts University Bournemouth. During my MA, I developed a deeper literacy in film and theater wardrobe from fittings to alterations, and refined my expertise in industrial sewing machines, sergers, hand sewing, and fabric manipulation. I completed a thesis researching medieval dress and received the Class Award for 'producing continuously excellent work across the course, thoroughly underpinned by rigorous research.’
